De Hortus Dental Practice was opened in 1993 by dentist Hekkens. The characteristic building is located at JD Meijerplein 52 in Amsterdam, in the heart of the Jewish Quarter and a stone's throw from the Hortus Botanicus. Inside, you'll find a practice equipped with the latest dental technology. The combination of a cultural environment and personalized care makes De Hortus a place where history and innovation collide.
In 2025, the practice was taken over by dentist Bindels.

Claudia Bindels

Claudia graduated from Radboud University in Nijmegen in 2012. Driven by her passion for dentistry, she continually develops her expertise. She has completed the three-year restorative postgraduate program CEPCD and has now begun specializing in maxillofacial prosthodontics at the Stichting Bijzondere Tandheelkunde and VU Medical Center. Patients with complex dental situations are therefore very welcome in her chair.
Lotte Joordens
Office manager
Lotte is the organizational heart of the practice, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. From administration to the front desk, and from scheduling to chairside assistance, her wide-ranging experience and keen eye make her an indispensable pillar of the practice (and Claudia).
Hospitality and creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone are Lotte's core values.
